GROUP CLASS PROGRAM

Number of Participants per Class

Classes have a minimum of seven and a maximum of 10 students. This allows Marcia to really actively correct and cue bodies safely and effectively. There are no drop-ins – once you form a class, that group will be together for the entire session. This gives us the chance to build on your skills together, all on the same page.

Number of Classes per Week and Why

Clients are required to take a minimum of two and a maximum of three classes per week. In order to make true gains in your strength and flexibility and to maintain those achievements, Pilates has to be a part of your regular routine. As your body learns this new method of working in alignment, you need to practice twice a week to learn how to work harder and create new patterns.

Class Length

Mat classes are between 45 and 55 minutes in length. Frequently, office groups prefer a 45 minute session, especially if they are taking advantage lunch-time Pilates. This allows them the opportunity to change clothes before and after and grab a bite of lunch at their desk.

Cost per class

$15 per person

Session Length

Each office session is 12 weeks in length. This gives students the chance to begin with basics, gain on skills, and really be able to begin to see changes in their bodies. It generally takes about 8 weeks to see true results – but you will feel differently after the first session. At about week 8, you’ll be asked if you want to participate in the next session. If a group drops below 10 and someone new wants to start in the second session, Marcia offers a discounted private rate to get the new student up to speed.

Some Benefits to Pilates in the Office

Aside from the physical benefits to a Pilates program, group classes in the office offer a few other great gains. Learning Pilates together allows co-workers (at every level) to support each other and see each other achieve their goals. Individually, Pilates increases productivity and energy while reducing stress. And finally, getting your strength and flexibility work done at the office offers you more of your free time for family, friends, and other activities.

First Step

A demonstration is the very first step. Marcia cannot imagine anyone agreeing to this kind of commitment without seeing what it’s all about and feeling confident in their instructor.
